Renowned golf architect Tom Fazio and world recognized hotel owner Steve Wynn have redesigned the old Desert Inn Golf Club into one of Las Vegas’ finest golf courses. The original Desert Inn Golf Club had a rich history having opened in 1952 and hosting several professional tournaments on all of the major tours in the same year, as well as numerous celebrities. Today Fazio and Wynn have collaborated on a gorgeous new course directly behind the already world famous Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Over 800,000 cubic yards of earth were moved to create dramatic elevation changes previously considered impossible to do on the Las Vegas Strip. To try to preserve some of the history of the property, over 1200 existing trees were salvaged and relocated from the former Desert Inn Golf Course, some of them being over 50 years old and 60 feet high. Over 4800 additional trees were added to the course and over 100,000 new shrubs.

The course features 5 par-3’s, 10 par-4’s, and 3 par-5’s, with 11 of the holes having water coming into play. A 37-foot waterfall greets you at the 18th hole and can be viewed from the clubhouse lounge area and also the adjacent steakhouse nearby. Beautiful streams and water features flow throughout the course.

The course features a pro shop, located inside the Country Club, and features the Wynn Golf Club private label apparel as well as the latest equipment from Callaway, and golf accessories also. Fine cigars are available in the property’s only walk-in humidor.

With men’s and women’s full-service locker rooms, gorgeous pro shop, 2 practice putting greens, a chipping area, a full swing practice area, on course food and beverages at the 9th and 13th holes, and golf carts stocked with a variety of beverages, Wynn has thought of everything a visiting golfer might need. Caddies are also available to assist you with any of your on-course needs.
