The Spanish Trail community is located about 15 to 20 minutes west of the Las Vegas Strip, the golf and country club being its centerpiece, and is the premier location for the finest real estate the area has to offer. Spanish Trail is a Las Vegas master-planned community, a guard-gated community, situated on 640 acres and featuring Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club.

The golf course is designed by world famous course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. who has built 27 premier golf holes divided into 3 distinct nine-hole courses. Robert Trent Jones, Jr. has designed golf courses all over the world, including putting his stamp on 5 in Nevada, with Spanish Trail being one of his finest creations.

The Sunrise Course measures just over 3,400 yards features a signature waterfall at the 9th hole next to the clubhouse. The Sunrise Course also offers large undulating greens and lush rolling fairways. The 5th hole on the Sunrise Course has been ranked as one of the most challenging par-3’s for years. This hole was ranked as one of the most difficult on the PGA Tour when the course hosted the Las Vegas Invitational in the late 1980s.

The Lakes Course is called just that for a reason, with water coming into play on 6 of the 9 holes. There are forced carries over water on several holes, forcing golfers to be at the top of their game. The Lakes Course is home to one of the most beautiful and picturesque holes in the area, the par-5 2nd hole, measuring 601 yards. Water protects the green and a gorgeous waterfall is featured next to the green. The 3rd hole is the signature par-3 hole measuring 180 yards and forcing your best, with a tee shot carrying over 2 lakes.

The Canyon Course is considered the most challenging of the three courses and also is the longest, measuring over 3,500 yards. The course recently has undergone a renovation to its landscaping and combines a desert-style course with the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design. The finishing stretch of three holes, the 7th, 8th, and 9th, are some of the best and most challenging you’ll find in the area. The par-3 7th hole stands at 215 yards with bunkers guarding the green. The 8th hole follows and is a monster par-5 measuring 567 yards with trouble lurking as the hole tends to play much longer and water protecting the green on any errant approach shot. These two tough holes are followed by the challenging 9th finishing hole measuring 421 yards and hitting your approach to an elevated green protected by deep sand bunkers.

Practice facilities at Spanish Trail include a driving range, short game area, and two putting greens to help you prepare for your round, or just get some good practice in between rounds. Also a well-stocked pro shop is located at the clubhouse, which has been newly remodeled.

The clubhouse at Spanish Trail is 50,000 square feet, and features several rooms for banquets, special events, meetings, receptions, and other catered events. The Sunrise Room is the largest main dining room, seating 180 guests and is great for large social events. The Lakes Fine Dining Room accommodates 64 guests comfortably and can be described as “sophisticated elegance”. The Wine Room is a smaller room, seating about 20 guests, and has the feel of a wine cellar, and is best used for more intimate dining parties and business meetings. The Canyon Room is much more casual, with more of a “bar and grill” feel and seats 80 people.

Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club has several membership categories. Golf memberships are available for those wanting to enjoy the golf courses as well as the other athletic facilities. Young Executive memberships are available for younger members who wish to enjoy all of the luxuries of the golf course also. Corporate memberships, social memberships, and non-resident memberships are also available.

Spanish Trail is also a great venue for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, birthday parties, anniversary parties, seminars, and retirement parties, among others. The knowledgeable and friendly staff will help you plan your event and give you the best service you would expect.
The Spanish Trail community consists of 11 separate neighborhoods with most homes selling for well over the $1 million mark. Townhomes also are in the community and range in price starting around $300,000.

Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club features one of the finest golf facilities you will find in the Las Vegas area, while the community, featuring over 1,200 homes, is one of the most luxurious in the entire country. Given the chance to play one of the nice courses in the area and visit one of the finest communities Las Vegas has to offer, make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy luxury and elegance at its finest.
