Pete Dye, the architect for the Paiute Resort, has designed a tournament-designed masterpiece northwest of the Las Vegas Strip. The resort has received numerous accolades almost from the day of its first round of golf played. All 3 courses are continually mentioned as the top courses in the West, and in North America.
The Wolf Course is the newest of the 3 courses and is also considered the most difficult. It is Nevada’s longest course at over 7,600 yards. With its 5 tee options, it promises to challenge golfers of all skill levels and provide each golfer with an amazing golf experience. Its length is intimidating but fair, and it also offers the beauty of its natural desert surroundings. One of the signature holes on the Wolf Course is the par-3 15th hole, an island green. Karrie Webb owns the course record of 64.
The Sun Mountain Course is considered the most tame and is kinder, and gentler than the other Paiute courses. Many golfers find this course to be their favorite due to its distance away from the resort and the feeling of being out with the desert landscape and nature. The par-4 12th hole is the longest on the course and favors longer players. The backdrop is stunning with mountains surrounding and sweeping slope changes and will challenge every golfer who plays it.
The Snow Mountain Course is the original course at the resort. It features wide fairways, seven holes where water comes into play, and no parallel fairways. With its railroad tie-decorated bunkers and strong dogleg finishing holes, many visitors still see Snow Mountain, the original, as the best of Paiute’s courses. The 16th hole is a par-3 with a long carry over water with stunning beauty all around you. The 18th is a stunning and difficult signature hole heading back up toward the clubhouse. With water guarding the left side of the fairway throughout along with the dogleg left and a high lofted shot carrying into the green, this hole will challenge the skill and psyche of all players.
Before and after your round, the Bar and Grill will cater to your food and refreshment needs. A cigar lounge is also available and floor to ceiling windows offer amazing views of the Snow Mountain Course and the surrounding mountains. A Saturday and Sunday brunch buffet is available from 6am to 12pm also at the resort.
For corporate events or tournaments, Paiute will cater to your every need with an experienced staff to assist you with all of your arrangements. Round trip transportation can be arranged, as well as private banquet rooms, tee prizes and merchandise, delivery of lunch to your players on the course, photography, and tee sponsored signs, among other amenities. In addition, all tournament groups get GPS navigation systems on the carts and a personal tournament coordinator just to name a few of the perks.
The Special Events Team also offers wedding packages that will exceed all of your expectations. The ceremony takes place out on the banquet lawn overlooking the lake and mountains.
With its yucca plants and Joshua trees filling the area along with the rest of its natural desert landscape, the Paiute Resort offers one of the best and most satisfying golf experiences you will find in the Las Vegas area. Treat yourself and your group to a memorable outing at one of the top golf courses in the country just a very short drive from the Strip.
