Las Vegas Golf Club is hallowed ground in the area. History with golf and Las Vegas is all around you as you walk the holes of this sacred course. In 1938, Las Vegas welcomed its first 9 holes with Las Vegas Golf Club’s opening, designed by William P. Bell, a well known golf course architect of his time. In 1947, 9 more holes were added to give the course its present layout. The course is located in the heart of Las Vegas, very close to downtown and the Strip, and is the oldest golf course in the area. Most golfers who have grown up in the area, amateur or professional, have walked these grounds at some point.

Las Vegas Golf Club is the oldest course in the Vegas area. The course recently has had over $5 million in upgrades, including a new clubhouse and several course upgrades. The fairways are lined with mature cottonwood and pine trees, while the greens are guarded by thirty sand bunkers to challenge your approach shots. The course sets up fair, with greens being very accessible, offering an enjoyable and relaxing round for everyone.

The course has variety, with the shortest hole being the par-3 3rd hole at 98 yards, but demands a solid wedge shot with a pond and four bunkers guarding it. The longest hole at Las Vegas Golf Club is the par-5 2nd hole at 503 yards which has a slight dogleg to the left. All of the holes offer a challenge and forgiveness all at the same time, giving golfers of all skill levels opportunities to score well.

The golf shop has all of the signature brands that you may need to equip yourself with the latest in equipment, apparel, and accessories.

Golf instruction is also available and all lessons are given by certified PGA professionals. Both private and group lessons are offered.

Las Vegas Golf Club also can accommodate any tournament, group outing, or special event you may have and will work with your group to ensure a memorable golf experience at the course. The tournament director on staff is dedicated to working with you to make your event run smoothly with all of the amenities.
While being the oldest course in the Las Vegas area, Las Vegas Golf Club still receives numerous accolades over the years, including “Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest in 2008.

The lowest course record ever shot in Las Vegas happened at Las Vegas Golf Club, when Monte Money fired a 14-under, 58 while drinking beer and playing with abandon.

Las Vegas Golf Club boasts some of the most fair prices in the area, while providing a friendly atmosphere and relaxing golf.
