Cascata Golf Club, Italian for “waterfall”, greets its guests with a 418-foot waterfall flowing down a mountainside into a river that glides through the Tuscan-style clubhouse. Rees Jones is the architect of this one of a kind masterpiece in the desert, using a $60 million budget. Cascata has been named one of the top 100 golf courses in the country by Golf Digest. In fact, Sports Illustrated has named Cascata Golf Club “golf’s hidden treasure.”

Cascata prides itself on its high level of customer service, luxury, and privacy. From the moment golfers arrive, the goal of the Cascata staff is to ensure an unforgettable golf experience.

The course provides stunning vistas on every hole, including the 3,600-foot peak at Red mountain, along with lush fairways, lakes, and streams. Players have the option of being accompanied by a Tour-class caddie on the course also, and the friendly, experienced staff will help you with all of your equipment, fashion, or instructional needs.

To say one of the holes at Cascata is more “picturesque” than any of the others is almost laughable, however, the par 3-7th hole does its best to accomplish that. The 7th is downhill and features one of the most beautiful and dramatic waterfalls you’ll find on the course. The hole measures 157 yards, but trouble surrounds it. The green has a large ridge through it, with water short of the hole and a bunker guarding the front as well. To the right and back is a large bunker to gobble up errant shots.

Water comes into play again on the par-4 14th hole measuring 434 yards. The tee shot, as always, is important to find the fairway. After that, the hole doglegs right with water guarding the right side of the fairway the entire way and a large lake guarding everything right of the green. The green is deep, measuring 32 yards, however, anything left or especially right, spells deep trouble on this challenging hole.
The finishing hole at Cascata is challenging, but potentially, rewarding. The 18th is a par-5 where accuracy is at a premium. Stay in the fairway, and golfers have potential to score well. Water and desert area guard the left side of the hole, while the creek continues to wind its way through the fairway and along the right side for your second shot. The fairway slopes right so the safe play is to aim left. Depending on the winds of the day, this green can be reached in two for longer players, however, the safe play is to aim for the fairway with a modest drive, allowing for a mid iron second shot, and a short iron into the undulating green.
Cascata Golf Club features a Tuscan-style 37,000 square foot clubhouse with an attentive staff at every corner. Inside features a first-class golf shop, men’s and women’s lounge, a cigar lounge, and beautiful dining room. The dining room has a full menu for every taste, and the men’s and women’s lounges have every amenity you may need. The cigar lounge offers a superb selection of rare and fine tobaccos.

Cascata has received numerous awards since its opening in 2000, including the “Top 100 You Can Play” by Golf Magazine. Few courses in the area and in the country, can offer the amenities and extravagance of this first-rate Las Vegas golf course. Make it a point to take the easy drive down to play.
