Bali Hai Golf Club is the only championship golf course located directly on the Las Vegas Strip. The course is designed to transport you from the hustle, bustle, and wildness of the casinos, to the lush surroundings of Indonesia. Bali Hai is a tropical paradise featuring seven acres of water features, 4,000 trees, including 2,500 towering palms and over 100,000 tropical plants. Transition and out-of-play areas are accented with Augusta white sand and black volcanic rock.

The course offers terrific views of the Strip. Bali Hai is designed to go out like a lamb and in like a lion. The designers built the course with the idea of getting golfers to loosen up and enjoy themselves and their surroundings early in the round, before challenging their skills later in the round. Course designer Brian Curley says, “This will be a fun course … you’ll know you’ve been tested, but it won’t beat you to death.”
There are several tests at Bali Hai for players of all skill levels. One of the first ones is the par-4 3rd hole. This hole tests your accuracy and shotmaking, although the key is a solid tee shot. A creek runs the entire length of the right side of the hole, so it goes without saying to keep everything left. A bunker stands on the left side of the fairway, however the fairway slopes right to feed most shots toward the center. To achieve a good score, it’s important to keep your approach toward the left side of the green as everything on the 3rd hole slopes toward the right: trouble.

The most difficult hole on the course is the par-4 8th hole measuring 482 yards. The tee shot is one of the more difficult on the course with 2 bunkers strategically placed on the left side. However, anything to the right in the fairway should feed toward the center. The approach shot is the real challenge. An expansive bunker guards the right side while another bunker sits at front right. The green is two-tiered and most shots into the left side of the green will be rewarded with an uphill putt, as well as a straighter one.

One of the most fun holes to play at Bali Hai is the par-3 16th hole nicknamed “Pacific Rim”. This hole is an island green and only measures 141 yards, however, club selection is the entire key to the hole. Water surrounds the hole and most shots need to be played to the front portion of the green, which provides the largest landing area. The green is two-tiered and has the largest elevation change on the course dividing the two parts.

Cili Restaurant is located at the golf course and is open for extended lunch seven days a week offering contemporary American cuisine with Asian influences. Evenings at Cili are typically pre-booked for special event groups of 15 or more. Cili has also been recognized as one of Las Vegas’s most popular power lunch restaurants by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

From the clubhouse, to the golf shop, to the restaurant, to the golf course itself, Bali Hai has received numerous accolades from the moment it opened. These accolades have been received both locally and from national publications and Bali Hai continues to be a terrific golf destination within minutes of your hotel.
